New Class for Beginner Ukulele Players

Always wanted to learn to play 'ukulele but didn't know how to start? Frustrated with confusing books and instructional methods? Want to learn how to figure out songs and strums by ear in seconds, hours/days/years? Then this class is for YOU!

This is a new 8-week course being offered at the El Camino College Community Education series in Torrance, CA starting June 16th through August 4th. Class size is limited so please register here to reserve your space.

Check out some of my ukulele tutorial videos to get an idea of what we'll be covering. The ukulele is a fun instrument, totally portable and very underrated in its versatility!

See you there!

  1. Hello, Mitch.
I just registered for your ukulele class at El Camino.
I'm an elementary school teacher and I try to give my students music experiences... as much as possible under current constraints! Kids love music, as you know, and they're so deprived of it now.
Well, here's the problem: I'll be traveling for the first three weeks of June. That means I have to miss our first class. As a teacher, I realize how terrible this is, but I REALLY care about the class.
Perhaps I can work with a ukulele on our trip (it's by car) using your YouTube instructional videos that are mentioned in the ECC catalog? Please let me know if you'll allow me to take the class. Thank you. Carola Bundy, gardenways@yahoo.com

  2. Mitch,
Bought my ukulele yesterday: Kala concert size, "solid spruce top, high gloss finish." And a chord book.
    I'm in love!
    (Although, my fingers do hurt.)
